If you could find any vista 64-bit driver for your scanner, that'd be awesome, you just run the installer in compatibility mode for windows vista sp2 and that's it, i've done it before. the problem with the 32-bit driver is that is not compatible with 64-bit.. Can anybody tell me if they definitely know a scanner that works on windows 7 64 bit. i cannot find any. i have a canoscan 8000f which i am now selling on ebay simply because canon have said that they will not produce a driver that will work on windows 7 64 bit.. The scanner worked using the vuescan software i temporarily installed, proving it can work in 64 bit. that is proof enough for me. i have not seen any anything on the canon websites that says anything saying the 32 bit works in windows 7.. 70 get your old scanner working with windows 7 x64. which is a 32-bit scan
